For 15 years, we at Scientific Explorer have been creating science activity kits that are unmatched in the specialty retail market. Our focus has always been on building critical thinking skills, engaging imaginations, and, above all, making science fun.

Elmer’s Products has a long history of commitment to hands-on education. Their October 2006 acquisition of Scientific Explorer has allowed both companies to expand the roles they play in the education and specialty markets. Elmer’s brings enhanced resources to Scientific Explorer, resulting in a greater expansion of our products, and Scientific Explorer brings years of experience in the specialty retail market, along with a great product line.

In addition to our new parent company, we are pleased to highlight some of our other new relationships for 2008. We have created a new line of kits featuring The Zula Patrol, from the popular PBS show. The Zula Patrol present science and astronomy in an exciting way, and are familiar to kids across the country.

We have also teamed up with Bill Nye the Science Guy to create kits that teach kids about recycling, physics, motors, and more. Bill Nye has been bringing science into homes through his TV shows for many years, and now kids will be able to experience science the Nye way hands-on!

We are proud of our continued association with the University of California at Berkeley, with whom we’ve created our GEMS series. Recognized throughout the world, the Great Explorations in Math and Science (GEMS) program stands at the forefront of science education today. Our GEMS kits bring the very best of the program to families for fun and learning at home.
